Project update – November 2005

We had a busy summer as usual, with clients briefing out their autumn work – and leaving us to take care of it while they’re on holiday. And for some reason 'broadcasting' has been a dominant theme. We've written magazine inserts for Freeview, a mailer to promote BBC Digital, and a presentation to BBC Technology staff, who are now part of Siemens Business Services. This work follows several corporate projects for Sky, which we’ve mentioned in previous updates.

So we’re developing a pretty keen understanding of how broadcasting is changing in the UK. And we’ve been working within the TV medium itself – on scripts for Clearasil, for their MTV Access sponsorship.

Meanwhile, in the world of retail, we’ve written pack copy for a range of educational toys and games for WHSmith, and come up with concepts for window displays for Millets. And we’re now helping Dixons Group communicate with staff at all their different outlets (PC World, Currys, Dixons, The Link) with a style guide for their HR copy.

Our work in other sectors has been pretty varied too. For example, we've worked on both customer and internal communications for npower, and written a voicemail script to tell BT employees about the new mobile service, BT Fusion.

We’ve also written recruitment literature and Convertible Bonds collateral for Nomura, a leading Japanese bank; mailers and presentation material for flooring manufacturer, Burmatex; and a brochure for the super-luxurious Chester Grosvenor Hotel.
