Project update – February 2008
Technology
As ever, advances in a number of fields have helped keep us busy. Our work for Vodafone continues, with brand guidelines aimed at the franchise companies who sell Vodafone’s products and services around the world. Sony, another long-standing client, has recently involved us in many of its business campaigns, covering everything from projectors to video-conferencing systems. For Apple Retail UK, we’ve helped ensure this iconic brand’s email communications hit the mark. And with Intel, we’ve edited and written a series of product descriptions aimed at resellers.
Media
For Channel 4, we wrote the microsite for Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live, the notorious chef’s new live show. It’s aim is to prove that anyone can prepare, cook and enjoy a delicious three-course meal for four in under an hour. Building on our corporate work in this sector we’ve written BSkyB’s latest annual review, and are currently working on the RTL Group annual review – RTL owns the UK channel, Five, as well as Talkback Thames and many TV and radio stations and production companies across Europe. We’ve also worked on literature promoting two digital channels, Hallmark and Movies 24. And as the digital TV switchover takes place region by region, we’ve written advertorials for Freeview to appear in Whitehaven, the first area to go digital-only. We’re also writing information leaflets on the same subject for Currys.
Here’s a new update on some recent Writers projects in a range of sectors. If anything particularly grabs your interest, please get in touch to find out more.
Professional services and property
On the strength of our graduate recruitment work for KPMG, we’ve now edited the graduate recruitment brochure and website for Eversheds, one of the UK’s top law firms. Bourne Group is a fast-growing professional services and business consultancy group with five different websites, which we’ve restructured and rewritten.
As the process of buying and selling houses changes with the advent of HIPs, e-conveyancing and online searches, we’ve helped major service providers – including Searchflow, Jordans and Richards Gray – write clear, comprehensible communications. In commercial property, our recent work includes a brochure promoting Northern Quarter, a new retail development in the centre of Portsmouth.
Financial services
In addition to our regular work with the likes of Royal Bank of Scotland Group, Morgan Stanley and AXA, we’ve been working with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Barclays Wealth, Mellon Bank, Lombard, Aberdeen Asset Management, Threadneedle Investment Services, independent fund manager Gartmore and the London Stock Exchange. We’ve also written web content for the World Gold Council, talking to a broad audience about gold’s scientific, technological, cultural and, of course, financial significance.
We’ve also been busy in many other sectors – from singles clubs to multiple retailers. More on these in our next update.
